What is a Strike Sewist?
When we want to launch a new design, we offer strike off pieces of fabric to a set team of sewists. As a strike sewist, you would be asked to sew the fabric up into a make of your choice (must be appropriate and agreed prior to sewing), we would then ask you to take modelled photos of the make, send the images to us, allowing us to use your images and using them yourself to promote the new fabric designs. In return for your time and skills, we would send you the fabric free of charge, minus the cost of shipping, we may ask for a fabric deposit which will be refunded to you after these terms have been met. We will also offer you a set discount off all fabric web orders made in addition to your strike sewing.
We are looking for sewists from a variety of backgrounds and abilities, so professional sewing and photography skills are not necessary. All that we ask is that, when working on a strike, you give us your time and dedication to stick within our timescales which will always be at least 1 week
